Description: The ability to deliver an effective and impressive presentation is ranked very high in addition to other core skills of architecture graduates. Hence, the training of presentation skills has clearly focused on the aspect of enhanced visualisation and in a move to address this has applied non-fictional comics as an appropriate tool to dissolve the traditional presentation patterns and aim at a profound visual literacy. Comics are juxtaposed pictorial and allow to crosslink individual content parts. This enables the audience to see the global picture which is complemented by the spoken word. This presentation aims at introducing the application of non-fictional comics in presentations in the field of architecture and offers the participants the opportunity to explore what comics can achieve that a text alone cannot do.
