Place: B5-27

Time: 13.00 – 14.30
Description: The workshop offers a practical perspective on methods of FL teaching to students with learning differences. The objective is to present methods of introducing and practising vocabulary and grammar at A1-B1 levels in the context of deficient working memory and sequential memory, weak phonological processing and inefficient rapid automatized naming skills. However, as students with learning difficulties are usually part of a mixed ability group the meeting will focus on how to adopt multisensory strategies for the purpose of working with larger groups. Additional narrative will address the issues of managing students’ focus and levels of motivation within the SLDs frame of reference. After the workshop you will never be able to look at a string or a clothes peg without a sudden urge to teach!
