Description: In this presentation, I will discuss the language guide and training sessions organised at Artevelde University College, developed to help Business Management students in writing their bachelor paper and to support the colleagues coaching them. As more bachelor paper coaches were commenting on the low quality of mother tongue use (Dutch) in students’ bachelor papers, the need arose to give students an opportunity to enhance their writing skills independently in a limited time frame. Students were thus handed tips, tricks and tools to improve their writing skills and to trigger their critical thinking regarding language use. Additionally, they could enrol for 30-minute coaching sessions, during which they could ask a language expert language-related questions. The second part of this project involves language coaching for the coaches, who, mostly, are not language experts. To provide more guidance, a basic language guide for bachelor papers and a language session was created.
